કેનેથ ફોસ્ટર: નિર્માણ એક શહીદ

Imagine you are a black man waking up in the morning with a smile; you are on your way to work having a good day listening to some good music. You pick up your travel buddy, who has been traveling with you for a couple of months. Everything’s fine your buddy wants to pick up a burger but as he crosses the road he pulls out a gun and kills someone. The next day you find yourself in a court being sentenced to death for being involved in a crime where a murder occurred. Who is Kenneth Foster? Let me bring to light Kenneth Foster, an African American man sentenced to death in 1997 for a murder is scheduled to be executed in Texas. The state has the law of parties, where the distinction between principal actor and accomplice of a crime is abolished. The law can impose the death penalty on anybody involved in a crime where a murder occurred. In Kenneth’s case he was driving a car with three passengers, one left the car, got into an argument and shot the person dead. Texas is the only state in the United States where a person can be factually innocent of murder and still face the death penalty. Although Texas has also produced the mass murderer of innocent people, George Bush, who has gone scot-free. What Kenneth Says: 1. Prisons in America do not promote true rehabilitation. If they did – they would be close to empty and the U.S could not make millions of dollars off the free labor. American prisons are modern day colonial camps and slavery. You don’t have to read dynamic history books – just read the United States Constitution-13th amendment. It’s loud and clear. Prisoner’s recidivism is bred, promoted and welcome by the system. People must fight this and prisoners must wake up. 2. On Death Row rehabilitation is not offered. We are here to be killed. Texas emphasizes this point as they make conditions deplorable. Read the steel hell section on the DRIVE (Under DRIVE Handbook) site. The point is- What you see me express on this site I taught to myself, because I wanted it. I wanted to change, wanted to know a spiritual excitement, and wanted the truth to free me. It was never offered, I sought it. Some don’t. But this is life-inside and out.Taken from Kenneth’s Words.
